S&H purchases new Brown & Sharpe Global Performance 7107 DCC CMM
Visitors to S&H may have noticed a newly constructed inspection department being built out in recent weeks. Today we were excited to install our first DCC Coordinate Measuring Machine. What’s that, you ask? It’s part of our Strategic Growth Plan: expansion of capabilities while maintaining (and improving) our industry-leading quality rating.This new piece of equipment gives us the ability to perform unattended, computer-controlled inspection of products. This precision machine utilizes probes which inspect part features to ensure they are 100% accurate. Parts can be inspected against 3D models and the measurement results recorded on reports whcih are provided to our customers. The result is a faster, consistent, and more accurate inspection of parts that meet customer specifications.
